Rags....RAGS??

Post by Yuusuke »

Does anyone know what to do with the Rags you find in Chapter 3? You find them in the North Fire Giant Lair, along with a Belladonna, I haven't seen a single FAQ which reveals their use, nor has anyone posted any questions or information on it on this forum.

Anyone??

I have been wondering the same thing actually, and I have no idea. My guess it is a quest item of some sort, most likely a henchman quest. I could be wrong though.

Well I know it's not a henchmen quest since I've done all of those already. Also another wierd item I found is a Top. Described as a child's toy in the game, it doesn't seem to serve any other functions either.

My best guess is that it's a wizard/sorcerer quest, like those sundial houses in Chapter 1.

A lot of items are similar to the Pantaloons in Baldurs Gate, there for no reason, perhaps they aren't meant to do anything.

I dunno, NWN runs a pretty tight ship, much tighter than BG2. Every item I've found so far and a purpose sooner or later, except the rags and top, of course. So i'm very suspicious. Maybe it will be a carry-over thing like the pantaloons.

If you have a look through the item listing in the toolset, there are a few items with the description: "There are several items in the game with no purpose. This is one of them".

I guess some of the programmers got bored.

Perhaps these items are in there so they show to the mod community that red herrings are also possible...

Actually there are other items that are described as serving no purpose, but they do, like the empty bottles. And also, it says no apparent purpose.
