Ysh, you are right, there is a similarity, Koontz' novels are always shorter though, plus they tend to have more characters. I haven't read any Herbert yet, i might look into it, i am a little tired of the horror genre though. I did quite enjoy Richard Laymons style though, he creates quite the page turners

Koontz?? What is that old saying? "there is no worse time waster than a bad book"? I read his Strangers, I was enthralled, then severely disappointed at the end

If a book is about aliens and little green men, I would prefer to know from the outset

Herbert can be out and out horror, as King can, yet like King he is also known for his psychological and supernatural thrillers

The scientific article I'm writing is a report of one of my studies. It must be finished tomorrow, and I have procrastinated for I don't know how long because it's not a very funny article.

@CE, it's all gonna work ut in the end, the Persians are stretching themselkves to thin, they can't hold all that land the took from me

@Ty....yeah, backstabbing would about sum it up.....I wouldn't care, but they beat me to the punch by about one turn
