Thats not nice to say to a lurker. I thought you were the Lord of Lurkers cause you helped their cause. I guess youve lost your roots.Originally posted by Bloodstalker

*Dashes back in for a brief second*
Hi all (again)
Hi CE. You'll find a few of us nice guys in here, quietly amused by the goings-on.
And I'm off again to go upgrade an email server. Back in a few hours (hopefully).

There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.

@Ty....I was merely enquiring into the disposition of our friend Scayde's SO.....I was not attacking, nor was I belittleing lurkers.
@Scayde, I am in a different catagory as Lord, I am exempt from certain lurking qualifications so that I may perform my duty

Big LOL! That's never happened to me - surprisingly, considering how absent-minded I am....the positive side of it is that the people in the other class will probably remember youOriginally posted by Tybaltus
No, actually, I sat down for a good 40 minutes in that class until I realized I was in the wrong class-when he did role-call and I wasnt mentioned-thats when I looked at my schedule and immediately got scared!
@Scayde: Aha, so you can post from work? I am actually at home, since I'm doing theoretical work...I often work at home in the night, when no phones are ringing and everybody else is asleep...
@BS: The opposite would be...interesting. Yes, I'm also having a writers block at the moment, I'm stuck at a certain reasoning in this bloody article...I guess your writing is of a totally different nature, though
EDIT: Hi Baron and hi Flibblo...this place seem to get less depraved by the minute...

Yes-I mean I kinda meandered into my real class 50 minutes late with only a few minutes left. Kind of embarrassing, you know. But, ah well, embarrassing stories when told are quite entertaining stories, none the less, so thats the plus to this.Originally posted by C Elegans

@CE, Mine is more a lyrical wall at the moment....frustrating, but the harder I try, the worse it will get, so I figure to relax a spell Peaking your interest was just a welcome turn of events
@Baron, Someone is always in the shadows, doen't bother me, until they start staring
@Scayde...Cameras? Where? *flashes smile in all directions* Make sure they get my good side

Exactly - I think I have told everybody here how I made myself known to every big professor in my field by shooting food at the speaker at the first scientific meeting I ever attendedOriginally posted by Tybaltus

EDIT: Hello Weasel *cough, cough*
I believe lyrical stuff is even more difficult to produce than technical, when you feel uninspired and blocked. You need some kind of creativity for scientific writing too, but not at all the same kind of relaxation...you sort of struggle from the first to the last letter, everything feels so constructed and unnatural but in the end it comes out fairly coherent anyway...there are totally different qualities required. I used to write weird poetry when I was younger, but nowadays I never have the time....
