[Spoiler?] Something to ponder about...

Post by Maharlika »

...isn't it weird that Cromwell cannot change some stuff found at the Watcher's Keep? I mean, there are some things which I see that he can change too, given the items he can transform into magical ones.

Your thoughts in this. Is it possible for Cromwell to do some of Cespenar's jobs?

Any items in the Keep that would be mentioned would be fully appreciated if you write them in black font. I'll just highlight them myself. ;)

Thanks. :)

It was probably too much programing for them to do to make them both be able to make the same stuff.
Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...

Perhaps...

...and duly noted. :) However, I was thinking of only selected items...

...for example...

the white dragon scales could be classified as something "generic" magic components. ;)

I mean, the mere fact that they made the Keep available for both games, well... you know what I mean...

Sure, there is always SK or the Console, but I tend to be more of the RPer than Power Gamer.

Some of the items would probably be too powerful for SoA.

I dont think theres any you could make.. Save the white dragon scale, or no...

I beleive all the composites for the items in Wk are in tob, so you couldnt have them forged at any rate (Xept the dagger of the star and possibly Ixils spike.. Cant remember)

You could easily make it so he could do the imps job.. though, he would have the imps dialogue, or none.. Unless you wanted to write the dialogue strings yourself which im not really interested in given that the quality items in soa dont fall far short

mmmmm...

Well I would say that some items would be nice to have forged. But maybe you could restrict what items that would be Made. Coot has a point where the already bad game balance could get worse. But on the other hand you can go to WK and get some dam good weapons and you can bring them back to SOA to use. And some of the upgrades are not that powerful. A what the hell why not, lets go for the upgrades in SOA as well. Know how do we get this in motion :D

Once again...

for the amount of time a person or persons would spend on the mod,

But.. What complete sets are ther in wk? Ie, what are the items for which both peices are available?

If you looted watchers keep without acsess to tob.. What exactly could you forge? (Not much)

He actually can, if you install Weimer's Item Upgrade Mod. You get the choice to make some different items - not the same Cespnar would forge - so the required components are different, and many of them are available in SoA.
Where we came from, we don't know
Where we're going.... (even worse)
And about who we could be, we actually have trouble in clearly defining the term "to be" in the first place...
