Question

Post by CtrlAltDel »

not meaning to sound like a troll or anything
but why does this game look like ass?

i mean i expected this to look as good or on the same level as bg2

this just looks like a slightly cleaned up version of iwd1.

while im dissapointed in the presentation i'll still play it some, but i loaded the game up at 1024x768, same at bg2, and it looks terrible, and the characters are TINY.

hope its just my system.
i'll be playing this some this weekend and post more info then.

as for now i was wondering if anyone knew of any ways to make it look any nicer or more like bg2.

i have a top of the line system, vid card, the whole deal.

The two series have very different atmospheres and looks, even though they run the same engine. Planescape: Torment has a different look as well.

Personally, I like the feel of the game and don't feel that the game looks bad, although I will admit that some of the snow landscapes are a little too bright for my tastes.

As for the characters being small, that is something I don't care for either, but I like being able to see more of the terrain, which is something you could not do in BG1 and the lower resolutions of BG2.
Jesus saves! And takes half damage!

well bg2 used a newer version of the inifinity engine, and while it looks like iwd2 used that, the artwork in the game is many notches lower then bg2.

i thought iwd1 looked nice on the original engine.

ah well, i'll see how it plays more this weekend if i dont end up programming something for my site instead.
