How do i keep Keldorn from killing Viconia

Post by OpusX »

I really want to have Viconia in my party, since she just sounds so cool, but from what everyone tells me, Keldorn is hands down the best NPC in the game. Is there any way i can keep Keldorn from killing Viconia???? What do i do???
Thanx for you time guys

There is at least one "happy script"-patch that you can download. Someone please provide a link.

The arguments provoking the fight are random, so you could always reload. Also, IIRC, after entering ToB, there will be no more NPC fights or NPCs leaving you.

Personally I hate patches that take out one of the best facets of the game. Good and evil people /don't/ get on. Tough luck, it's the way people are. Get a more agreeable party.

Oh, and Keldorn isn't that good. At all. Personally I like Valygar. Oh wait, he doesn't get on with Viconia either. Uhhh... Mazzy. Yeah. She probably won't duff up Viccy. Or indeed Korgan, if you want to go all the way.

opusx, if you feel up to it, load up a pre viccy and keldy game, and take screen shots of the globals and look at the globals of a post with shadowkeeper.

i found out if you reset "korganaeriegrump" to 0 whenver it increments it will keep aerie from leaving and theres should be a viccykeldygrump or something like that.

UserUnfriendly: The global is ViconiaKeldornFight, and what you said is exactly what the Happy Script does - setting the globals to 0 instead of letting them fight.

Do the happy scripts stop all the humourus NPC dialogues?

No, the script does not stop dialogues, it just prevent the dialogues from erupting into a fight. So you might get the dialogue where two NPCs say that they will kill each other, but when the dialogue end, nothing happens - this is what the Happy Script does.

It also make it so that the NPCs do not get unhappy due to the rep of the group, they'll never complain and they'll never leave because of rep problem. Although they might leave due to other reasons.
