Fighter Cleric vs. Ranger Cleric
Fighter Cleric vs. Ranger Cleric
Which is better? Just looking for opinions and maybe ideas about which level to dual them. I don't think that a half-elf ranger/cleric multi is a viable option but go ahead and disagree with me.

Ranger/Cleric.
Soooo much better than Fighter/Cleric... Ironskins makes all the difference!
If you have only SoA:
Dual at level 9 if you want to be a spell casting cleric, with druid spells.
Dual at level 13 if you want to be a front-liner cleric, with druid spells.
If you have ToB, the Ranger/Cleric multi will beat them both.

I cannot be caged.
I cannot be controlled.
(I probably cannot be contained either)
Understand this as you die,
ever pathetic, ever fools.

Vanilla rangers and beastmasters can dual only to cleric (in actual 2nd ed. PnP rangers can dual only to cleric but they do not get to cast druid spells above 3rd level like in BGII, as an Infinity Engine fault). Archers and stalkers, with ToB installed, cannot dual at all.Originally posted by MasterDarkNinja
I thought that Rangers couldn't duel class??? I was so certain that rangers couldn't duel class
Well 10 to 2 voting wise the rangers are up. I guess that settles it. Now the question is at which level should one dual. My ideas would be at second so you loose no experience to the ranger class and then again at 7 because I think you get an extra piece of an attack there. That would be at the very beginning of SoA in all likelyhood. Any other magic numbers?
I think that ranger/clerics are cool 'cause the druidspells makes so much different. You get the ultimate "Divine" spell caster. Even one whom can fight
And you all know that: Druids really rock, they're SO cool

Dont be so quick to discount the fighter cleric
Consider he can take a kit (Bezerker) and then have a few very nice extras with engrage and a small advantage with grand mastery
As opposed to the only viable kit for an Rc, being the beastmaster which is worse than a vanilla ranger
For me, all would way apon weather I had the grand mastery fix or not
If I had it and wanted a better mellee fighter, Id go the Bezerker/Cleric,
Without it though, there is no discussion as to whom is better.. Rc all the way
