How to save my cd:s...=(

I belong to the kind who always, yes always, succeeds to scratch their CD:s to the unknown... You should only look on my BG1 cd:s, they doesn't work anymore =(

Now to my problem...with two younger brothers who just can't put the CD:s where they belong, me neither, the CD:s just get all messed up. So i tried to rip of my ToB cd but, ofcourse, it didn't work...can anyone help me with how to save my CD:s from getting totally destroyed? please...

dicipline yourself! make your brothers slap you, hard. everytime you don't put the cd's where they belong. and the other way around.

The bg1 cd's are almost impossible to keep from getting scratched, since you get them in a paper folder. You might want to invest in some cheap jewel boxes for all your games with lousy cases.

no offence Dios but you pretty f***** lazy, it takes a maximim of 10 seconds (unless you a retarded) to put a CD back where it belongs, all my CD's look new because i take care of them. PUT A LARGE POSTER UP ON THE WALL THAT SAYS "PUT THE ****ING DISK IN THE RIGHT BOX" right above you computer space

@Dios; Get one of those cd carriers, they help the cd´s stay nice n clean, they´re dead handy, and doesn´t cost a fortune.

Jaesha's suggestion is a good one. They're very compact, they keep things safe, and everything you want will be in one place.

As an alternative to keep CDs and documentation together, consider plastic ziploc bags. I keep my games in ziplocs placed in storage tubs for easy access. True, they're a bit harder to get at, but I know exactly where they are and they remain in good condition.

As a man who works in a record company and handle a ton of CDs every day I can give this advice:
Carriers like Jaesha and Fable suggested are good, but you must be disciplined or else you will mess the order and end up losing too much time looking for them inside.
Plastic envelopes (like the ones BG1 came here in Brazil) work fine and don't damage the disks unless you let a cat walk on them.
My best solution is taking a standard jewel case and un-assemble (is it an actual word?) it until you keep only the part where the CD stays. He will be safe from scratches and are faster to handle than envelopes or carriers or the whole jewel case.

You can use the rest of the jewel case to keep rubber bands, paper clips or staples

Just recently I discovered an amazing new aspect to my computer. My Presario has this little thing on the tower that holds cds! It's soooo easy. I leave all my BG2 and other CDs that I use a lot in there, I can easily put them stright in the drive and out and back into the holder thing. You probably have no idea what i'm talking about unless you have a semi-new presario, but if you have one I suggest using this feature. Help me out here, anybody else have one of these?

There is a way to save scratched discs. There are soem stores who have a polishing table that allows you to take away all scratches that don't cut through the cd. It's about $5 and takes like an houre. Someone invented it to save DVDs which had been rented and then scratched.
