Bag of Holding Problem

Post by TGM »

Hi, I have got two bags of holding, but when I picked up the second one, it contained all the items in the first one. Removing an item from either bag removes it from both. I think somehow, both bags of holding reference the same item file.

Does anyone know how to fix this??

Oh, I have SoA, ToB, latest Black Isle Patch, Ascension, Sola, Valen, Ease and Ritual installed. I have tried uninsatlling and reinstalling all unofficial mods, but it does not help.

Thanks,

TGM.

You used Sk for the second bag right? You must have picked the same bag as the one you already have...try picking another one from the list (I think there's about 9 or so).

Or, you got both bags 'legally' (2nd one from ToB) in which case...

I had the same problem! but I was soloing, so I just threw one of the bags out, cause' I needed the extra space in the inventory.

@Kopywrite, I used CLUA for the first bag, so you are probabally correct. The only bag of holding I know of is bag04, i'll try some other numbers and see what happens.

Thanks.

Uh, just curious, but why on earth do you need two bags of holding both of which have infinite (for practical purposes, I think someone actually found the limit once) space?

Bags of Holding can only hold 20 different items. ;)

Hope not. But that would explain the missing, vital quest items. :D

Hmm... I guess I should take Anomen's body out of it, lest I lose him. :D

the bag can hold over 200 items not 20, did you get that mixed up with the scroll or gem case? Also the problem with the bag of holding is the same for every storage thing in BG2. the gem bag, the scroll bag and the other 2 bags in TOB. they are all like that. I'm not sure if you have more space though for having 2 of them or not.

I once tried giving each member of my party a bag of holding through CLUA console, but after a while I noticed I've lost almost all the items inside. What a shock! Kensai/Thief, 1 level from UAI, 5 stars in two-handed sword and Holy Avenger all gone, forever, for good.

To avoid this kind of dissapointment, why not just use one "bottomless" bag of holding...
