The Painter Quest?

Post by EtherImp »

Theres a quest you can get from the temple district (the helm guys, I believe), where you have to find a painter, whom I believe resides in the Government district. That's all fine and dandy, right? But when I went through the game I decided to search each house in the government district and came by this guys house.. he was a real jerk to me and told me to leave, and I didn't.. Which, evidently made his entire household hostile towards me.. The problem now is that when I try to go back to that household and talk to him like a rational human being, they are all hostile and attack me. In turn, my characters slay them, my reputation goes to 0, everybody wants to leave the party, etc.. Not only that, but it prevents me from completing the quest.

Is there anyway that I can (via shadowkeeper or console) STOP them from being hostile so I can go in and talk to them and complete the quest?

I have also tried going invisible and using the charm spell on the family but apparently you cannot talk to somebody who is "charmed".

Any help would be appreciated.. Anybody else have a similar story/situation? heh. It's actually rather amusing, considering what jerks they are.. But regardless, I would like to complete the quest.

Can't be done through ShadowKeeper - but can be fixed with Near Infinity (though not easily).
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
