"Three things greater than all else ...
... are women and horses and war." So sayeth Rudyard Kipling. (Actually, I think the original quote is: "Four things greater than all else are women, and horses, and wine, and war." But when I was a kid collecting quotes, I didn't like wine, so I censored that one out! ).
Anyhoo! Whaddya all think are "three things greater than all else" - ?
I'd say: Women, and German beer, and chocolate! They go great together, too. *Ahem!*
Opinions?

To me personally the three things greater than all else would be Science, Sex and Nature.
(Sex = men in my case, Nature = preferably mountains, sea and desert. )
If I'm allowed four things, I would add Art.

3)Religeon
Just missing the cut is sports and music. I dunno how I would get around without sports and music, but they dont rank above the 3 listed....

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Sex, love, dogs.
Now I know what you're thinking - don't bother, its too damn obvious.
Only if its cold, right?

Cool topic
* Freedom
* Engineering
* Reason
@Gruntboy: I would have thought that "aircraft carriers" would have been on your list!
EDIT!! Hmmm ... I have had a change of heart. Here is a better list for me:
* Freedom (especially economic freedom - i.e. capitalism)
* Integrity
* Engineering (especially things like aircraft carriers, stealth bombers, and M1A2 Abrams tanks, @Gruntboy. )
Ah! Much better!

LOL! I was trying to think in terms of my own gratification. If I was president, Aircraft Carriers, Stealh Bombers and M1A2 tanks would do nicely.

In this order:
-Friends (loyal ones)
-Art (subclasses: Heavy Metal -heard or played live- plus all the masterpieces of all kind of art in history)
-Homeplace
Girls, of course, may be considered part of each of the above, even all at once
Best when they belong mostly to the Art section, though!

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.
Love is a perky elf dancing a merry little jig and then suddenly he turns on you with a miniature machine gun.
