i found the tanners letter and the umar map did not appear, did i do something wrong?
-I didnt know you could do that...

Do you mean it's not on the map or that it's there and greyed out??

I don't think the letter will give you the map. You'll be approached by a boy (sorry, I forgot his name), or check Valygar's house in the Dock, then go to the City Gate.

The boy (I think called Delon) will approach you by himself at certain time. Just try the City Gate.

I met him different places each time. I saw him in the Government District twice, the Slums twice, and Waukeen's Promenade once.

I remember someone posted before that you need Minsk for boy to approach. Have you spoken to Valygar's servant before read his tax letter?

That is strange, the boy is near the statue in the goverment district but he will go searching for you after some time.
He always speak with Minsc so try to have him in your party, besides that. got the tax record? well go to the Goverment building and speak with somebody (a cleak) there he will update your map.
- Waterdeep city constrution.

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.

If that doesn't work start changing out NPC's till the boy doesn't run off.
