I have complete quite a few quests for Jaheira and now am seeing the Romance pick up (lovetalk - 40) after time in the Underdark.
I just was approached by Dermin and I seem to not avoid Jaheira 'renouncing' the Harpers (i do avoid fighting) This is my 1st meeting with Dermin, Is this the correct path? Renouncing that is.

People say there are a lot of problems with the Jaheira romance, but I've never really encountered any but one.
Keep a special save after every couple of romance dialogs, and you should be fine. If anything goes wrong you can fall back on them.
