Cool. Im doing research on 2 1-hit wonders of the 80's. One of which probably has the DRYEST song Ive ever heard. There was so little rithym in the song and it sounded like they were learning how to use the synthesizer in the duration of the song. No wonder they only had 1 hit, how that song was a hit is beyond me. The group and song Im referring to is the synth-punk band called "Sigue Sigue Sputnik" and their song "Love Missile F1-11". The other 1-hit wonder Im looking up is, Alphaville with their hit "Big in Japan" which was a good song.

Thats the way my night is proceeding. In other words: VERY slowly. :D

Pink Floyd. Excellent choice

**lies back, closes eyes and enjoys the music**

I was following a car the other day that had the personalised plate "Floyd". Not much, except that the plate had a pink background... Very cleverly done.

DAMMIT. Now my big speach of Sigue Sigue Sputnik is covered up cause it was the last post on the previous page, which means no ones going to read it. Not like anyone cares about my deep research of 1-hit wonders anyway. :( :D

*To make everyone suffer: Puts in Sigue Sigue Sputnik CD to listen to un-Godly music*

Remember when you were young,
You shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes,
Like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire
Of childhood and stardom,
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter,
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon,
You cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night,
And exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome
With random percision,
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions,
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

ROFL :D

One of my favourite Floyd songs. Don't really know why, i just like it:

Hello,
Is there anybody in there
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again
Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts

There is no pain, you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain, you would not understand
This is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb

O.K.
Just a little pin prick
There'll be no more aaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
And I have become
Comfortably numb.

Perhaps you dont know I dont care about my post count. I have deleted many of my own posts to avoid certain milestones in my post count. I have probably deleted 25-40 posts, its time consuming, so I dont delete more. The only posts I dont want to delete are those that actually are involved in real, non-SPAM conversations. So your threats are empty. :p Your post count would be cut in half, you know. :D

Ah. Youre folding. Wise choice. I didnt think Billy Idol would scare you off, though. I was almost certain Id get up to Culture Club or Frankie Goes to Hollywood lyrics. :D

I grew up listening to this stuff, along with Dire Straits, U2, Queen, Aerosmith. IMO the golden years of modern music.

I've had to go put The Wall on IRL now

edit - later Scayde. *HUG*

For some reason I like power struggles. I always fill up with false self confidence. And then even when I lose or end up in a draw, I can pervert it to look like a victory. Ah.......regardless Im thinking I scared you off with my little power struggle. :D Youre not the first to run from my lyrics. :D

LOL :p Later.

We gotta install microwave ovens
Custom kitchen deliveries
We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these colour TV's, Lord

Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it

This one holds some rather strong memories for me, so much to the point I have trouble listening to it:

Romeo And Juliet

A love struck Romeo sings a streetsuss serenade
Laying everybody low with a lovesong that he made
Finds a convenient streetlight steeps out of the shade
Says something like you and me babe how about it?

Juliet says hey it's Romeo you nearly gimme a heart attack
He's underneath the window she's singing hey la my boyfriend's back
You shouldn't come around here singing up at people like that
Anyway what you gonna do about it ?

Juliet the dice were loaded from the start
And I bet ant exploded in my heart
And I forget I forget the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?

Come up on different streets they both were streets of shame
Both dirty both mean yes and the dream was just the same
And I dreamed your dream for you and now your dram is real
How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals?

When you can fall for chains of silver you can fall for chains of gold
You can fall for pretty strangers and the promises they hold
You promised me everything you promised me thick and thin
Now you just say oh Romeo yeah you know I used to have a scene with him

Juliet when we made love you used to cry
You said I love you like the stars above I'll love you till I die
There's a place for us you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?

I can't do the talk like they talk on TV
And I can't do a love song like the way it's meant to be
I can't do everything but I'd do anything for you
I can't do anything expect be in love with you

And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
All I do is keep the beat and bad company
All I do is kiss you through the bars of a rhyme
Julie I'd do the stars with you any time

Juliet when we made love you used to cry
You said I love you like the stars above I'll love you till I die
And there's a place for us you know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong Juliet?

A lovestruck Romeo sings a streetsuss serenade
Laying everybody low with a lovesong that he made
Finds a convenient streetlight steps out of the shade
Says something like you and me babe how about it?
