Werewolves and such
I have a question about Sir Kirathis, Urth, Ben and Geth......and Alehor(sp?). Is it completey random to run across the boys around Port Llast? Or do you need to find them at night? And or in a certain order?

The three boys can be found in certain locations at any time.
Spoiler highlight to see
However in order for Sir Karathis to appear you have to restore/kill the boys first. You will then find the true identity of the Black Wolf which is actualy Alhelor

Obviously (with hindsight) they only appear once you have initiated the quest from the guy in the temple. I kept trying to find them on my own, etc.. because I know one was suppose to be in location X. I don't think it was night when I found them either.
BTW, you can get infinite XP from this quest by pickpocketing the amulet from the werewolves once you give it to them. I don't remember which one I did this to. (and no.. I only did it 2 or 3 times before quitting)

OK so boys have been restored......Haurik has all three rings....Journal says "maybe it is a good time to revisit the scene of the crime" type thing. The cave outside the Green Griffen still has no one inside it....
SO.........is that the right place to find him again......or does he wander? or does one need to wait until the night after the last boy is restored....maybe Alhelor's house.

After the boys are cured, go back to the guy in the temple. Talk to him & then you can go to the cave near the green griffen with all the wolves in it. I suggest go to the end of the cave, use the portal stone, talk, use portal, the guy will be right there. That's how I did it. Don't know why he did just appear after the boys, maybe the portal thing is what did it for me. This quest was very buggy when i played it & gave script errors at nearly every encounter.

I did the whole quest without any bugs, after restoring the boys Sir Karathis should have been there inside the cave. I had the game patched up to v1.23 then i think.

There is one of the werewolf boys though in the north-eastern cave on the South Road area if this is the one that you are missing

Obviously I have hit a bug too I am running the 1.24 patch, and the Sir K (forget name) is not spawning. I have freed the three boys....

Hmm, this is a very anoying bug it seems, ok try to talk to everyone about the werewolf case(Neurik, Ander, Alhelor) and then hit the cave again, maybe Sir Karathis will respawn. Ah and another thing, you did go to the cave before you saved all the boys and red the note there right Ysh?

@Demis, I have spoken to all concerned with this quest. I even went back and spoke to Neurik, Alelhor and Ander again after finding Karathis didn't spawn (well I spoke to them a few times actually - after trying lunarwaters suggestion re using the portal stone - cost me a few quid ) Still he doesn't spawn.
I had visited the cave before meeting any of the boys and cleared it out. Which note would that be?

Inside the werewolf cave when you visit it the first time you will find a piece of a Journal(i don't remember where exactly) that seems to be from Sir Karathis Journal. The journal mentions something about Sir Karathis will come back to this cave only after he found the boys.

@Demis, yes I have that note. *Sigh* this is frustrating, I can't think what else to do. Do you think you have to go at night, maybe? Is there a specific timescale or something? I have spoken - yet again - to Neurik, Ander and Alhelor - I went to Alelhor's house...nothing, back to the cave nothing again....

@Ysh i am afraid that this is not the case, i am pretty sure that i when there not at night and Sir Karathis was there. but i guess it doesn't hurt to try that too since all the other failed .
