Vanishing Items

I seem to be having a problem with items in my inventory disappearing. I thought I was just not remembering stuff right but when I wound up having to do the waterbell quest all over again I knew it wasn't me. Now I'm missing the Iron Spider key and I can't remember where I picked it up.

I really like the game, but not enough to keep going back and doing stuff over and over. And no, I'm not dropping or selling these things. Are NPC theives stealing stuff and I don't see them? If so, how do I recover items?

Well NPCs cannot steal that's for sure and since you mentioned anything else i cannot think of anything. Been a bug though is not likely especially with v1.4 patch, i've finished the game with v1.3 without dissapearing items problem. I can only suggest to check back to the Nottle guy at Stillwater sometimes he carries some items that either you missed and did not pick up including keys but there is not much chance with it.

I'll give Nottle a try, but if he doesn't have it, I doubt I'll keep playing.

Another thing, keep in mind that several keys in the game have a similar name, i got confused with so much keys in the game, but i doubt this should be it.

Anyway let's just hope to work out and finish the game

Well, whether it's the key I thought it was or not, I got an "Iron Spider" key that I no longer have. I might get a chance to play tonight for a while so I'll check with Nottle. I'll let you know.
