Solaufein-Kelsey romance conflict

Post by khimaira »

This time I'm playing with a "mod-party." The PC [sorceress], Imoen and all the mod's I've found [Solaufein [mmm... My favourite one], Tashia [I've got the happy-patch :D ], Kelsey and Valen [who can be a real b***h sometimes - I had to kill Drizzt because of her!! :( So I loaded it again, sacked Valen, met Drizzt and took Valen with me again.]

I've been eager to see the romance-conflict - and YES, I AM sure that I installed it all right! - between Kelsey and Solaufein, but no. My PC and both of the men have had their looovely night together, and I'm beginning to wonder. Where's the conflict? They haven't had any dialogue between eachother. Does it affect somehow that I have Valen and Tashia with me? I also have the Ascension mod, but I don't think it would cause any problems... So what's the matter?

[PS. Quite irritating party btw. 3 sorcerors, one mage/thief, one mage/fighter and one vampire =>fighter/thief. I've always had a magic-based party, but this is gone a bit too far I would say... ;) ]

I concur. Having a single sorceror in your party with the right items is already powerful enough to take on a small army... Even if you play on insane, you can only find challenge in a handful of fights. It changes the way you play as well. Have the three sorcerors project image, then time stop and after you're done with their time stops, no one is usually left to fight, so what's the point of having those cool super multi/duals in your party... It changes the way you play, really.

try eclipse without telly field...watch them all die slowly.....

but its actually fun with 3 sorc....i have tried it myself....

ok, install order is very very important...

yes i have had tashia, sola and kelsey sola mix parties, and usually the rule of thumb is always install tashia first, then weidu mods live pretty well together....

the only time i have had tashia and kelsey and sola, i was nibbling on tashia, gave sola a kick in the privates, and kelsey got immie....

so even though i had the conflict installed, could not test....

my protagonist was bun bun version 6, the kensai sorc combo from hell..... :p
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!

The Kelsey-Solaufein conflict is an optional component from the Kelsey mod. You need to install Sola first and then Kelsey, and make sure you install the optonal component for the conflict.

I heard that the Kelsey-Sola conflict is an optional component and I have to say that I wouldn't know how/where to get it myself.

@Khimaira ... Are you sure you have it installed?
Where we came from, we don't know
Where we're going.... (even worse)
And about who we could be, we actually have trouble in clearly defining the term "to be" in the first place...

Umm. I really have to check this, because I'm not sure anymore. Oh heck, if I didn't install it...

Yeah, it IS an optional component, you have to have the Kelsey-SOA 1.0.4 patch and answer "Yes" to the question about the optional Kelsey/Solaufein romance conflict. You can re-run the Setup-Kelsey104.exe and check whether it's in or not.

If you've already slept with Solaufein, though, it's too late (although Kelsey will simply terminate his romance at that point.)

He confronts you after the "Hold my hand, baby" conversation, and then again after the dance with Solaufein.

(The conflict is also included as an optional component of Kelsey-TOB, but that only applies to the TOB portion of the game.)

Oh well. It wasn't even installed. GOD I'm stupid! I actually took both of them with me because I wanted to see the conflict! Well, maybe I'll concentrate on the Tashia-romance this time [oh, and THANK YOU for that mod too. It's really great. :) ]
Well I'm sorry. This whole topic was made in vain, but thank you for telling me when to expect it come. :)
