Where are the boots of speed?
Where are the boots of speed?
Where are the boots of blinding speed.

Some woman redguard you find on a pathway near Caldera to the northwest or something in that vicinity carries them. She wants to be escorted to Gnaar Mok, I believe, and she'll give you the boots for the escort mission. So just explore the roads near Caldera, Im sure you'll find her about.

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

LOL I dont know. Ive never done it that way. It isnt a long walk. But if you want to try to kill her-save before hand, and then kill her, and see if you can pick up the loot. If it isnt there, then you should load and then escort her to Gnaar Mok.

ROFL Did you do what my brother did when he found out? He basically became so enraged at her for giving him the faulty item, he immediately attacked her. He was so angry.Originally posted by UncleScratchy
Did I miss something with these defective boots? I dumped them shortly after getting them and seeing the downside to them. Why would you want them? Is there a way to remove the blindness effect?
When I first got them, I was REALLY poor (I was only a rookie at the game, so I really wasnt any good at managing my money-and knowledge on where to sell stuff) so I gladly took the boots and sold them.

The blindness is curable via magic resistance, but that a lot of trouble to go through. I just said: Skip it. And moved on...Originally posted by UncleScratchy
Yep, but didn't get mad - I got even and killed her for what I thought was going to be a bounty I could collect, then sold the boots. I really don't understand why anyone would want these boots other than as a novelty.

I see fine
Not sure what effect the blindness is supposed to have, but it certainly doesn't prevent me from doing anything, just looks like the gamma is set very low.
I would definitely keep them in inventory. They are light and very useful for traveling through wilderness that you've already explored. I wouldn't wear them if you are passing through uncharted territory. You can miss things when running around that fast.
