Amaunator, but I thought he was a god?

Off topic, but did anyone notice the reason why the temple was abandoned? If you remember, it was Amaunator who was left guarding the rift and his followers all died or were consumed by hate.

Amaunator is dead, he was killed because all his followers neglected him.
