As I woke up this morning....

Post by Tybaltus »

I look up. Turn to my side with my now warm pillow under my head. I look over to the clock. I can hardly make out the numbers on the clock, but due to the fact I havent yet heard the annoying buzz of the clock, I decide to turn over to the other side of the bed, reshifting my warm covers as I turn. A sudden noice falls above me. I think, "What in the world.."

I realize shortly after it is but a sudden burst of drops from a raincloud hovering above the house. I start to daze off into a state of sleep but yet still being awake as I stare up at the ceiling. A sudden itch attacks my throat. "Ah crap", I think to myself as genuine clean language has not really hit me at this early hour in the morning. "I think Ive got a cold." As I start to doze off again, thinking a little bit of the cold, thinking a little bit of the rain, and thinking a little bit of the time, I start to feel somewhat worried inside. Thoughts start to rush through my head because of a possible cold..."I cant afford to miss classes"..."I wonder what soups we have" "Maybe I just need a drink"....
These thoughts soon morph into nothingness as I have, once again, fallen into a state of slumber.

Suddenly the alarm goes off...."Ah crap....10 more minutes" I think to myself, as I turn over and quickly hitting the snooze button in my half awake mode. As my hand retreats back to the bed, I hear a crashing noice....
I sort of turn towards the floor, with my eyes still closed, I search, blindly, on the floor to try to find the object that has fallen. I feel a sort of smooth cold object on the floors surface. Still with my eyes closed, and little knowledge of what the object is, I put it on the table, assuming it was the object that I heard drop upon the floor. I start to cuddle with the blankets once again. And find that perfect position where everything is just that comfortable....

I think, "Ahhhhhhhhh.....Bliss....."

Seconds later the alarm goes off again....

"ARGH!" I shout inside my mind, this time I actually open my eyes to the glow of the tv set sitting on the other end of the room, but things are still blurry and the picture cannot be made out. I hear the constant dripping sounds as they hit the window sill outside.
I sigh....and think....maybe 10 more minutes....but I realize the true time as the red numbers on the clock glare an evil glare at my eyes, that time for sleep is now over.
I sigh once again, and with a now stuffy nose I get up and slowly make my way to the bathroom....

Sorry. I just had an uncontrollable urge to write something. Its been almost 2 years since Ive written about something so basic in a creative writing piece. So, just sort of getting back to it. As you can see, I probably need to fine tune some stuff, but, hey, its all good. :D

If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

Thanks Zelgadis and Z! :) Not sure why I felt like writing what happened this morning, but, hey, why not? Right?

Very good, a few grammatical errors but that can be corrected easily. For some reason, in my school I'm known as one of the foremost poets/writers. So far its well-done, lure-in could be a tad more exciting though, maybe part of a dream?
It's pretty easy, I mean just go kill a dragon, get laid.

"I never thought it would end like this,
just because I got no ****,
I'll shave my legs and wear a bra,
I'll even cut my p**** off for you."
-Reel Big Fish

Now that's a love poem if I ever heard one.

Thanks Vinin. :) Yeah, like I said, Im a bit rusty at this. :D

Though I dont write any poetry at all. I actually dont even write very often, though I like to write down some streams of thought sometimes.

Well I dont remember what I dreamt about this morning, so I didnt write anything about that.

My history of writing is mostly essays, a couple of creative pieces, many historical papers, and some sports writing/analysis.

LOL :D

I first had no idea what you just meant, but nevermind, I understand...*sigh* Maybe youre taking the title of the thread and the conversation afterwards as one thing, when really they are seperate. No, these men were not here when I woke up this morning. Maybe I should have been more clear in my story that I was alone.... :D :p

LOL :D Thanks mental nomad. :) No it was the Poland Spring water bottle I usually have next to my bed that caused the crash sound, but the thing I felt was my wallet. I think I knocked that down too. :D

Yeah-I know about colds....Ive got a drink next to me as we speak. :D

For a minute there...

...I thought that at the end of the passage it would go on something like this...

"I sigh once again, and with a now stuffy nose I get up and slowly make my way to the bathroom....

....then I suddenly realized that today is a Saturday and I've got no classes! Image"

I'm too lazy to turn mine off. Besides, it keeps me used to waking up early.

Anyway, nice piece Ty.

@Vinin: Foremost eh? Isn't it nice to be known for something in your school. Everyone in mine knows me to be the only one with published work in the library. :D

@Ysh: Just a few short stories. The entire only amounts to about 100 pages, and about 8 stories, but it's published(Locally), and thats what counts.
