Well I got a ways into BG2 and then had to format.(Free Windows 2k) Well anyway the last week or so I've just been goofing around until today I made a (small amount of cheating here) Mage/Cleric the cheating is I think the Elfs Half/Elfs look silly so I made it a Human.(I don't think its really cheating) I mean if the elfs looked cool, I would of kept it one Image. Anyway I Found some neat things about the Mage/Cleric class. First off you can use REAL weapons. Like Warhammer, Maces, Flails. Also you can wear a Helm. Well just thought id throw that in. I haven't read (haven't looked very hard) much about the Cleric/Mage and its benefits. Oh one more thing, about the Exp say i got 10k exp on this guy would 5k go to mage 5k to Cleric, im thinking yes, but never hurts to ask Image

Depends on whether you are DUAL classed or MULTI classed. I think it is the latter.

Yes, in that case, the experience is equally divided over all your classes (in your case, two). The only problem is that both classes can gain a maximum of only 14,750 points in each. You might want to check the manual to see to what levels you get in the end for BOTH classes.

Another disadvantage is that the levelling goes twice as slow as normal, because it is distributed over the two classes.

And yes, when you have a Multi/Dual class you can use lots of equipment that normally can be used by one class, but not by another. However, it is possible that - especially with armor - certain abilities are disabled.

And that's the reason i gave Aerie the boot. She cannot get high enough in levels without a cap remover.

I haven't done the cap remover but my question about it is this: if you take it off then can your mages (pure and dual/multi classed) cast lv 9 spells or are those limited to scroll casting only?

In order to cast 9 level spell your mage need to have 18 INT
- Waterdeep city constrution.

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.
