How about this "alternate reality" is a Texas ranch 2002? That would be a scream having the DF experience 21st Century technology *pictures BS running screaming from a tv set, or Gwally and Ysh savagely smashing up chainsaws and other means of forest destruction* Maybe Scayde could help them here?

ROFLMAO! :D I can see it now.... The Texas Chainsaw Massacre DF style.....  I actually think this might be rather fun, I can just see DW heading off on horseback clad in mage robes and encountering a couple of red necks upon her ride *evil snicker* :D ;)

By Chanak
We could start a line of acid resistant casualwear as a way to kick off the DF line of clothing.

LMAO ! :D Perhaps we could conduct a fashion show at the Dude Ranch ..... *imagines the DF modelling various ensembles created from 100% virgin polyester to an enthralled audience*

But if we moved into the 21 century, do you all know how many people would be accusing AC of being a hooker with her tail, fangs and claws?!

ROFLMAO ..... Too funny. This idea would be great. As far as learning to use the portal with some amount of predictability, we could maybe discover some prehistoric Native American petragraphs that once decoded would unlock the secret to its use.

BTW @ Chanak:*HUG*
Thanks again for posting your ideas. I think I would really like to play the spin that way. Except I would like the rifle to be funtional.. (I don't know anything about swords or maces :D )
@T' and Than:I think I am going to go ahead and post the next bit. of course I will edit it if there are any inconsistancies, or objections.
*HUGS* You Guys... :D ;)

edit: @AC... You'd be an instant hit.. especially since on earth it's Holloween :D ;)

Don't worry about me. My original ideas for the pool won't work with the current story line/proposed ideas, so no sweat. Please proceed! :)
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.

AC will be so shocked to see so many half-breed Ishiatorian wandering the streets on October 13. :D

I don't mind where we go, whether it be with Gwally or Scayde. I just wanna get outta here. :o :)

Beautiful, Scayde. :) You make AC seem to be the hyper cat-thing she really is. :)

However, there is one thing I'd like you to change. AC and BS havew never even talked to each other yet (I just joined relatively-recently myself story-wise), so if you could take out that part about AC protectively guarding BS, then it would be perfect. :) ;)

Love it, though! :D

Great post, Scayde LMAO! :D
Chanak:

I didn't think druids were overly concerned about modesty.
Hmmm...maybe the boots you gave Scayde in the example were the ones you used to wear back when you did earth elemental changes. You know, mud resistance and all that. Mother's Favorite Footwear: resistance to tracking mud +5

Ssh! we have been trying to convince Gwally otherwise for ages :D

LOL!

Imagine the reaction of the residents of Faerun when the DF model mini-skirts and stilettos - maybe we could even convince the tavern patrons that men are intended to dress this way??
A-c:

But if we moved into the 21 century, do you all know how many people would be accusing AC of being a hooker with her tail, fangs and claws?!

It might be more interesting to have to rescue A-c from some research lab  :D

LOL! but yes, we would need to find a way to be sure that we can get back....maybe there is some red-neck "village idiot" who turns out to be some kind of seer? though he might initially get a little over-excited when realising someone finally believes him (the DF, of course)

@ Chanak..I love your avatar! Nightcrawler was always one of my favorite X-men Image
I read in the FR campaign book that it was (of course) a priest of Gond who invented the smokepowder :D

Update...

Just so everyone knows, I updated my last post in the story thread, where my character meets Yshania. :)

It's good to know the story is running again... this past summer was really slow, and it's nice to get in some new material. :)

@T'l: Nightcrawler was one of my favorites, too. :) *Bampf*

:D

Add little horns to Kurt, and he and Thalimon look very similar. ;)

LOL.. OK AC I edited this: “And stay away from that guy over there”, pointing with her chin in the direction of Bloodstalker. “Or I might just have to beat you with this fancy stick of yours.” out. But remember You said it first here :p :D ;)

@Ysh, Scayde, DW:

The idea of popping up on 21st century earth sounds intriguing...

I can only imagine people's reactions to my character...he'd probably have a train of preachers and evangelists following him, not to mention photographers from the National Enquirer. ;) He and AC could make some serious money while the DF was on earth.

What concerns me is that the battle should not be rushed. Its build up has been an integral part of the story for so long now, over a year, it will close a huge chapter. Of course this is assuming the DF are successful ;) If a break is necessary, then fine - I am up for it, I just don't want to lose sight of what we have worked up to. Mysteria, Aegis, BS, Ned all joined during the build up to where we are now (albeit overground) all of the DF are yet to be formally introduced...the way I see it we currently have parallel parties because of the (controlled) chaos of our situation. A break is fine - it would be fun! but we need to ensure we close this chapter before formally moving on...

Just my opinion :)

@T'lainya: I did for a little while. Wasn't that a British group of mutants that Nightcrawler either led, or joined?
