Where to spend proficiency?

Post by JSPCHIEF »

My Swashbuckler just hit lvl 20 and I gained another proficiency point. I have dual wield at +++ (max) and shortsword at ++ (max) and + in long sword. I plan on going on to TOB after finishing SOA. I'm looking for some opinions on where to spend this +. Any long swords out there that are good enough for me to put another point there, or should I consider scimitar, katana or dagger (or even club)? I wish I could just save it for when I get UAI HLA...but that can't happen.

IMHO first go for 2* in Longswords than Katanas or Bastard Swords...=) Or warhammers or flails or maces or axes or or or...
If there's something more important than my ego. I want it caught and shot now.

Longswords are good, but I personally like the Katanas best. Celestial Fury and in TOB, upgraded Hindos Doom. If you have the Solaufein mod, you can get a SUPERB katana Scashukundu (sp?). When you have those weapons you kick ass! REMEMBER to spend ALOT in two Weapon Fighting.

hindo's doom isn't an upgraded celestial fury, its a different sword. Upgraded, it is a +4 weapon, gives restoration once a day, 10% magic resist when equiped, and immunity to death magic.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach
