About Viconia´s heritage

I was flipping through the first book in the dark elf trilogy by R.A. Salvatore the other day.
In the story, the entire DeVir house is wiped out by the Do'Urden house, except for Alton, which is another story, he is killed too, so it doesn´t matter anyway. Now, Viconia´s last name is DeVir, but how is that possible?
The SoA story is long after the destruction of the DeVir house, so how would black isle come up with a resonable solution to this little dilemma? ...Just a thought.

if u romance her, she will tell the story about how she survived.
IIRC she was to be sacrificed to Lolth but her brother saved her.
and she escaped her clan and had the flee from the underdark.
For the whole story get an romance with her

Err, no. Drizzt escaped from the Underdark as stated in the books, and met Bruenor, Regis, Catti-Brie and later Wulfgar, as well as being accompanied by Guenwyvar.

Thanks bloodmist,´I´ll try and do that, although it kinda dissapointed me that black isle didn´t get the information about viccy in the trilogy.
