Level 14 sorcerer and finger of death

I just levelled my sorcerer up to 14th level and I chose Finger of Death spell.And it says that it is beyond my casting level or smth. like that.Inteligence shouldn't be a problem cuz it's 18.

I'm not really expert when it comes to rules (esp. 3rd edition) so could you hellp me?

Sorcerers use Charisma, not Intelligence for spell casting.

Since Finger of Death is a lvl 7 spell, you need 17 charisma in order to be able to cast it (10+spell level).
