buggy underdark quest

Post by Kerra »

i'm playing my evil game since i lost my main one ...if you play 2 games make sure you rename the 1 you're not playing something besides autosave or quick save hehe

but now this 1 is buggy Image i'm in the underdark part when phaere tells me to talk to her at the city gate. when i do she tells me to run to the spell jammer ship and help her kill a beholder. ok, but when i reach the ship the game messes up. the text box and mouse cursor vanish like they do when something is going to happen, but nothing happens. no one appears or anything. the game just sits there until 1 of the characters gets bored and complains, lol. that makes the text box and stuff come back but the quest still won't happen. does anyone know how to fix it?

I remember having had something similar a few times. The one that jumps to my mind right away was in IceWind Dale. Near the end when you got teleported back to TenTowns, the computer didn't release the controls to me after the scripted event. My party started complaining after a while ... Image

Anyway, I see either two options: either you reload a prior game and try again, as this solved the problems I had in these cases. Or, you might want to delete the cache files, as one or more may have become corrupted.
