I have one question: If a mage is dual class with theif can he learn level nine spells?
Fighting for survival is a hard habit to break.

If the mage reaches lvl. 18 he can.
With the current XP.-cap in BG2 it is not possible even with a pure mage. (Unless you remove the XP.-Cap)
In BG2:ToB it will be possible.
