best powergaming alignment...see below for answer

Post by UserUnfriendly »

and the best powergaming alignment is true neutral....

1) you can get the rabbit, arguably the best familiar with possibly the fairy dragon as best competition...inv 10 ft radius...but the cheese with rabbit is much nicer....

rabbit has good trap and good pickpocket abilities, so pickpocketing a npc with drow items or the rift device so as to bypass engine checks and to get those wonderful items for your very own is much easier....

(unload all items a npc has except for the rift device, unused, or drow items, before leaving underdark...save and have rabbit pickpocket...successful, and then leave underdark or sewers...ask rabbit for all items it has pickpocketed and you get the rift device and good drow items...warning, rabbit capacity is 2 items only, so choose carefully...i recommend one of the speed elven mail, and pwfwal cloak of sola...)

2) you are immune to BOTH holy and unholy smite...and holy and unholy word, i thinks...

3) you can choose demonic or celestial planetar or deva, i dislike the voice set of the celestial planetar and like the cool red look of the demonic, so i like to choose evil...

but its the holy unholy smite immunity and rabbit that makes true neutral the powergamer's choice...

Wouldn't any neautral class have immunity to holy smite etc?

Ok, time for a silly question...
What is a "speed elven mail" exactly?

How is the Ferret as a familiar? I just think having a Ferret and Hamster in my party would be cooler than having a Rabbit and Hamster.

A "speed elven mail" is actually a drow elven chainmail +3 with -1 to casting speed and +5 magic resistance.

High light for possible spoiler
Is that the armour you get in trade meet?

Uhm, I think it's Soulafein armor then (the one he has in the mod).
Spoiler?

There's another one in the Underdark on some drow you kill... But can't remember his name now (if he had a name at all).

Good armor, now I figured out why one should want to have a rabbit to avoid it turning to dust! ;)

It's in a mod? How dissapointing. I really wanted that armour if it existed in SOA. I don't really like to play mods so..

It's not in the mods, at least one unamed drow in the parties around the prison-machine in the underdark has it.

This is most likely what I was trying to say in the black text under "spoiler" in my previous post :)

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.

I tried the rabbit familiar for the first time, but the pickpocket icon is shaded... The beastie can't use it.
Is it normal?
(Which kind of rabbit were you using, User?) ;) A little "edited " one maybe?

Hmm, I tried a find familiar with my True Neutral UAI'd Kensai/Thief and ended up getting a dust mephit instead of the rabbit. Is this normal for all rogue familiars or is it just some oddity?

Well... I would say that it's odd.

There is no "normal" for Rogue familiars since they are not supposed to have them. The Dust Memphit is supposed to be for NE characters. I wonder if it takes reputation into account?

EDIT: Say, it just occured to me that if you have UAI, you are probably in TOB. Did you do any of the Evil paths in Hell? If so, your alignment should have changed.

Ah, that was it. I didn't know that neutral alignments change in hell. Seems I've been going through ToB the whole time as NE.
