Romances in general
What are your favorite romances, and why?
Mod romances like Sola and Immie welcome, too.
BTW, does anyone know when Rowan will be out?
Looks like one of the most interesting NPC´s yet IMO.

If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.
Love is a perky elf dancing a merry little jig and then suddenly he turns on you with a miniature machine gun.

Jeasha, this topic has been done to death...
But, I don't have to tell anybody what my favorite romance is: they already know.

Some minor romance spoilers below:
I just have some male-centered romances to chat about. I like them all, and the ladies have all endured some serious hardships, which makes their difficulties with life understandable, and ultimately make good of them. In that way, they pull of more than many of us can do in.
Viconia is my favorite. She has nerves of steel, I a hell of a survivor, has a great attitude ("the merciless slaughter of our foes awaits!", "I follow Shar above all, but for now, I follow you", etc.), and has a meloncholy to her that appeals to me, my PCs can't help but feel for her--despite her initial resistance to getting close to a person, and much less, the drow do know some nasty and fun things to do in the wee-hours. And she is ultimately open to change her ways to carefully dialogued good-intentioned PCs. She is also open to slaughter-happy Bhallspawn strategies. And when Haer'Dalis hits on her, she just doesn't take his tacky come-ons. Some fun dialogue. Much less, having a single-class cleric can really add options and power for a party, she just flies up the levels. I would like to have some sort of mod that would allow my female PCs to romance with her. By and large, the drow aren't homophobes, afterall.
I really like Jaheria for some of the same reasons (courage, tenacity, and in addition for her "for the group" attitude), and having the multiclass fighter really helps in combat, but my PCs find her a bit frustrating for her long-lasting lack of trust. Don't get me wrong, though, I understand she had tough times and had her heart broken with the Khalid situation. Viccy has some trust issues as well, but my PCs often find Jaheria's more irksome. Overall, Jaheria is a rock star and comes in a close second, IMO. I thought the climatic ToB dialogues with her were really touching.
Aerie, my PCs' hearts go out to her, and she really grows up, but IMHO the romance music just bothers me, its just too sentimental, so I don't have a full blown opinion with her romance since I havn't been though the BGII-ToB sequence with her to see how she fully comes to fruition. I am working with her currently, however, with a ranger, so we'll see how it goes.

But not under MY supervision!
You wouldn´t believe the rumours I heard on the internet regarding you and Anoweenie...

Jaheira is my favorite Bioware romance, without question, even though her TOB romance is incredibly weak and her epilogues (whether TOB or the Ascension rewrite) are dissatisfying. Never mind the fact that even if I weren't married, Jaheira would never have anything to do with me and I don't even like camping, let alone "nature" in the druidic sense.
As for mod romances, personally I can't get into any of the existing ones for various reasons--most of them problems of characterization. I will say flat out that I don't think anybody else has done a better job than we did in Kelsey-TOB, however.
And Rowan is not fully written yet, so its implementation will be a good while off yet.

*Snickers at AC* (Actually I don't mind Anomen)
Jaheira and Viciona's are the greatest simply because they span the longest and have the most history (dating back to BG1). Jaheira's because her husband dies and you step in. Viciona's because you save her life, and save her again until you breach past the drow's stereotypical personality.

i am happily contributing abusive ideas to lord m, for the forum members amusement and jollies....

i actually think very highly of kelsey tob, i think the imoen romance with kelsey is very very well done and quite sweet...i wish i had taken jan along for the polymorph spell, but thats ok....
my personal favorite romance is
TASHIA....
i found her much more interesting, funny and believeable than the bioware chicks...
her comments to everyone in the party are just classic, i sure hope ari updates the flirting for tob, and more content will hopefully be out, if ari gets interested back in tashia again...
sigh...

There is a patch for this; I even have it installed. I just can't remember where I got it. It's not on Baldurdash or Sorcerers. If I find it I'll send you the url.

That kind of mod is your own problem, User. I know for a fact that I will not play such a mod (when/if it is "illegitely" created), nor will some other SYMians and, as I know for proof, a few people over at Forgotten Wars like the poor guy, too.
We're the minority, but together, we are strong.
But I gotta ask: Why is EVERYone trying to change my opinion about him?!
