where do I find boots of speed?

I remember you can find boots of speed somewhere in athkatla but where exactly?

The Haer Dalis quest in the bridge district, theres a battle as you enter the portal beneath five flagons and chase his troupe through to another dimension. In that battle you get the boots.

Anotha' Spoiler
The token machine in the asylum creates boots of speed if you put in 20 mithril tokens.

And again...

Aran Linvail, if you want to cheat. Can be killed for boots of speed.

There are 5 pairs in ToB and SoA that you can get, I'm not sure where they all are. It;s been a while.

You don't have to cheat, IIRC. You can pickpocket Aran for it. That's not cheating, that's giving him a taste of his own medicine!

someone has mentioned aran has the boots equipped, so you cannot pickpocket equipped items....

but i could be full of it, so feel free to test out and post results....

a lot of people have said, you must kill him after chapter 6, thus you no get akanis gath, and take the rep loss..
