Hey everyone, first-timer here.
Just was curious what the best Armor Class everyone has seen on their characters.
Right now I am at the monastary in Chapter Four, and one character is at a 22, and another is a 21.
It's the first time I am playing this game (so far, it's pretty awesome, and the posts I have seen here have been VERY helpful) and is very possible that I have missed armor or other protections (although I remember reading a previous post saying there isn't any decent armor). So, is a 22 pretty good, or could I have done a LOT better at this point?
Best AC available?

Later on in the game anybody with 26 or lower gets hit ALOT. I'm the one who posted the thread about the lack of decent armor. Apparently it was somehow left out of the game and will be added in a patch. Personally I think it's rediculous that good armor was left out, but can "conveniently" be added in a patch. This seems to be a re-occuring theme with game developers these days: ship now, fix later. But 22 is nothing near the end-game, but about right at the point you're at. My best person right now has an AC of 28, but he's a Monk and has high dextarity and wisdom and doesn't use armor. Next in line is my Bard/Sorceror with 27. My two tanks only have 24 and 25 respectivly due to that lack of good armor.

Hmm...
Thanks for the diagnosis, Doc.
I am glad that, based on your experience, that I am right about where I should be. It's been a heck of a game, but sometimes I don't always catch everything.
Speaking of patches, is this going to be one that we will buy or will we have to download it? It may sound strange to say, but I am hoping that I can buy a CD and install it instead of getting it from a website, because I am TERRIBLE at downloading stuff and then having to find the right program to open it and install it and so on...
It will be interesting to see, after the patch comes out, how good the AC's can be...

Best Ac I got so far was on my monk. The Broken Ones. He had that chainmail of drakkas on cause for some reason that actually kicked up his AR instead of droped it. So he had 32 or 31 if I am not mistaking. And with haste and I think some other spell, he got it up to 35-37. But still gets hit lol.
Trap? What trap!? Ah shi....!!!!

You do realise that most special monk abilities are disabled when you have armor on, not just the wisdom bonus to AC? You're really shortchanging yourself for a measily 1 AC, I'd suggest removing the armor.

Thats true, but for some bloody reason he still runs as fast as he did without the armor and the damage is still the same. And he can use all of his skills and all of his saving throws are through the roof. I'm not exactly sure what other abilities am I hindering for him
