About strongholds in ToB

Post by Robin_Hood »

I know that you get the Abyssal Stronghold in ToB, but what about the old stronghold? Will it be updated or will there be any new quests added to it? I mean, what is Robin Hood without his cabin in the Umar Hills? I've fought for it and they give me a pesky "abyssal stronghold"!? I will not accept that!!!
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

Sorry,AFAIK once you get in the ToB part of the game the Strongholds are gone 4 good :( Maybe they've added a few more quests for the SoA part, but I doubt that as well.

Look at it this way. Once you're done with all this Bhaalspawn nonsense you can go back to your cabin and retire.

Thanks for the info, but damn, I'm pretty pissed off.

The Abbysal stronghold is a very kewl place, you can summon every NPC there when you want em. You can even travel to the stronghold from every map of dungeon. You go to it by clicking a button in your abilities screen.

To get back where you where when you clicked the button you just exit the stronghold

ToB is located in the Southern Lands, the only region it shares with SoA is Watcher's Keep, which is added once you install ToB. So bye-bye ALL locations you have explored in SoA.

How do people know so much in advance?

So if ALL the BGII areas disappear then it is more of a new game than an add on. TOSC added new areas to BGI but you could still visit the old. If all the BGII areas disappear then it is obvious you can't just drop it in and expand BGII. You will have had to complete all you need/want to in BGII before playing ToB...
