It all started...

*hug* @DW. Thanks. :)

6 dead and 144 wounded, perhaps not in the same magnitude as Bali, but that video of the injured man rising from the rubble and those of the other victims has given me the same feeling as Bali. :(

...not counting the fact that it happened in my own country.

EDIT- *looks at post below* My family is relatively safe up north in Manila, though I have no idea how tense it could be there compared to the south. I just hope that there won't be any witch hunting. My peace-loving muslim brothers and sisters have sufferred enough from all these actions caused ironically by people who call themselves muslims too.

*Tears*..
My heart is breaking. More victims of evil, more victims of maddness, more and more..I have lit candles, said my rosary, cried before my God..I feel utterly helpless.

@ my Dear friend Mah:.. *HUG* You and your Family have a candle in my window, a place in my heart, and also in my prayers.

Ah yes....its the classic "We cant get at the real offenders, so lets hunt down a scapegoat that has nothing to do with the situation but somehow randomly relates to the situation."

This sickens me. I hate it when people go after the wrong people. Its called closed mindedness, or descrimination. Its just stupid. I mean, after the tragedies in the USA, there was a wave of violence commited against muslims from ignorant losers who decided then that all muslims were at fault. Come on. Be realistic. Terrorists are a completely different breed of human. The ones without a soul. It has nothing to do with religeous, racial, or gender backgrounds. To keep an open and understanding mind might be the best thing a civilian can do.

Sorry if this post is off topic, it just hit a chord, I guess you can say.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Re: It all started...

I would never understand the motivations of the ones who did it. No one would gain anything. Only pointless deaths of people who do not need to be involved.

Wise words. I have really heard a lot of muslim bashing lately. Sadly very few people are able to see things the way you do Mar.
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

@ Mah - You have my condolences. It seems many people will feel the wrath of a few. I am glad to hear that you don't have any loved ones near the attack, but I feel for your homeland. I pray that this madness will stop.

This has to stop the world over the past few years has had a lot of this, which just reinforces my pov.

1. There is nobody better at being nasty to humans than humans itself.
2. The world would be lot better off without all of us in it.
3. Humans have the greatest talent for destruction than any other beings that have ever lived on our world to common knowledge.

Condolences, something must be done!

My deepest condolences to those who were affected by this tragedy. It is unfortunate to see how people can be influenced into committing such attrocities towards others

Not again in my country...

My condolences Mah. Take care.

I can understand how frightening it is with these terrorists. I was in Pakistan this past summer, I left a few weeks after the bomb at the US consulate. I've seen that building over 1000 times in my lifetime, since I used to go to the country club right next door.

Then a few weeks after leaving Karachi some terrorists were arrested after a gun fight. They were linked to the Sept. 11 hijackers. I was at the same location only weeks earlier playing at some arcades with my friends.

Its all starting to hit really close to home. :( [Sept. 11 in NYC, Consulate bombings, hotel bombings, terrorists being arrested, car bombs, Karachi where Dan Pearl was kidnapped and killed] - All these places I've been to so many many times.

...I don't know if it sounds right, but at least these incidents get media attention...

...but what about the countless incidents that were not noticed?

I'm sorry if I diverted the attention. It's just much sadder when I came to realize that. :(
