Try an Orc Warrior. Hell of tank, nearly invulnerable!
Another example: A Khajiit thief. Best bonus features at the start!

Too easy a question

Just create any character, with athletics and acrobatics chosen as major skills. Make either Combat or Stealth (I'd choose stealth) as your main pool and before you do anything in the game, run around in a circle while jumping for a whole day. The level ups you get will make the game a breeze. :p It's so easy to make a powerful character, I say you should take your time and make one that's fun.

I aint saying powerful characters aren't fun... just that the game gets boring if you abuse the game's rules.

I agree. Sure, if you want to get everybody's opinion of what's best, you can compile a book just by searching here. But there isn't one single path to victory, just as there isn't one single character class. Build your own after reading some personal experiences from us, but don't build to conform. Build to make your own guy or gal you could enjoy. It's all about having a good time, not being the quickest to the finish line.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
