I suppose I'm with VonDondu, Littiz, JackOfClubs and serjeLeBlade then.
I don't see a real difference between Jonny's crib and the other dungeons. It's balanced and varied and offers much in the ways of plot and combat. That should make it fun, right? The only thing that bothers me is the long walks for the Chaos Sword and the acorns.
I wholly support this mod, however. I don't expect others to feel the same way I do.

Alright, so, can somebody please tell my why it's not working?
Started a new game with a Bard, Irenecus scene ends, Imoen comes.... Nothing. Talk to Minsc (No intentions of talking to Jaheira), walked around for a few minuts, moved into other rooms and...nothing. Where am I supposed to meet this guy?
*sigh* By the time somebody replies to this, I'm gonna be halfway done with this stupid dungeon anyways.

I would strongly suspect it's because you didn't install it properly. Paste up the content of Setup-DungeonBeGone.debug, which you should find in your BG2 main directory.

Looks like there are at least a few other people here who don't have a problem with Irenicus's dungeon. Thanks.
But the MOD is definitely welcome. Sometimes when I'm playing the game in Irenicus's dungeon, I wish that I could get out of there and go other other places and do something else in the game. It makes me feel trapped. I guess that's what it feels like to be a prisoner. Come to think of it, my character IS a prisoner. What do you know?

Of all the mods I've seen, this has got to be the worst idea yet for improving game interest.
Come on, we shouldn't be so hard to jcompton and all the Forgotten Wars crew! I'm sure that they did it because there were people asking for it!
Where we came from, we don't know
Where we're going.... (even worse)
And about who we could be, we actually have trouble in clearly defining the term "to be" in the first place...
From a role-playing view I, too, disagree with the prospect of "deleting" Chapter 1. VonDondu's description of feelings, atmosphere, etc., while one is fighting one's way towards the exit, was well-put and an accurate one.
However, after a lot of replaying, it seems one of the most boring dundgeons to me, especially with all those forths and backs, when you are supposed to be in a hurry to get out. Anyway, I'll try the mod soon, and I'll come back...
Cheers

Non-hardcore completists who just want to get to Athkatla and the non-linear portion of the game quicker: Use DBG.
Cheesemongers: Complete the Irenicus dungeon AND use DBG, thereby doubling your haul of good stuff.

As near as I can tell, the whole thing is optional....So, if you don't like it, don't use it! Either don't download it, or if you do download it just to try it out, fine....After you try it, never talk to the guy again and just play out the dungeon like normal....
I don't see what the big deal is....I have played that dungeon a bazillion times and am tired of it.....I like dungeon-be-gone......
Since I started using dungeon-be-gone, sometimes, in the true spirit of an RPG player, I still use my "imagination" to "pretend" that I played the dungeon......
However, those of you that want to play the dungeon a bazillion and first time, more power to you!

I think that pretty much states it. Nobody is being forced to use DBG. If you don't like it, please don't flame the developers.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

His corpse has most but not all of the items. You don't get the XP, and I'm pretty sure you don't get the gold.
There are no safeguards built in, because it wasn't terribly important to Blue to stop you doing something like that. And I support that decision.
