The Patch and The "new" armor.... I thinking I'm not getting something

Post by Tharan »

So i got this new patch. Its pretty good as I stated before. Fixes a lot of stuff and such. Puts it the new armor that was 'forgot', but I dont get it, I cant FIND any 'forgoten' armor. Its only for SALE at 3 shops and each shop has 2. So its 6 armors that you can buy, and all of them do almost the same thing. Am I not understanding something? Cause I went through the whole game and did not FIND any new one. ANy help is appreciated.

I suspect the devs don't want to hand players extremely good armor; and in general, I trust BIS to produce some of the best-balanced CRPGs around.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

There´s really no overpowering armor. Fortunately!

At least there is unique armor, having a name and giving a slight advantage. Not just Chainmail+2.

AFAIK new armor is sold in shops and randomly dropped.

So you have to be lucky. But won´t miss any Über-armor.

One more reason to make another run through the game.

Different party, different tactics, different armor :)

Which 3 shops offer the new armors? Do I have to start a new game to include them in the shopkeepers' inventories?

No, you won´t have to start a new game, patch fixes acrive games.

The first new armors are sold by Nym in Wandering village.

My most recent save when I installed the patch was at the "point of no return" before the final battle(s). I checked every merchant I could think of (and still access), but no dice. I was just hoping for an edge at the game's end. Aparently, its too late.
