There's a rundown on cleric spells in my guide, but here's a summary:

1) Sanctuary gives you invisibility for ten rounds and allows you to cast defensive and healing spells during that period--you can even turn undead or turn on blade barrier or both during sanctuary.
2) Holy Smite while it only does 1-4 damage per level, UNLIKE the mage's "fireball" or "lightning bolt" it does not have a level-10 cap, so that a level 20 cleric will do 20-80 damage with it. Also, it does not harm you or your allies unless they're evil.
3) Slay Living means your target is dead unless he saves.
4) Harm means your target is reduced from anything up to infinity hit points to just 1 hit points--NO SAVE.
5) Magic Resistance will actually lower the MR of dragons and other monsters with high MR--in fact, it lowers it more than the mage spell "reduce MR."
6) Blade Barrier is THE spell to cast in conjunction with Sanctuary. Ten rounds of 8-64 "Cusinart" action per round to all monsters next to you, is not affected by MR so works against drow and demons.
7) Firestorm is a mass destruction spell similar to Meteor Swarm, the difference being that clerics can memorize firestorm but mages cannot memorize Meteor Storm.

here are some of my favorite priest spells:

-Draw upon holy might: get great bonusses on dex. str. and con. and when u gain 3 lvl's
thebonusses will only be bigger. Up to +7 for str. con. and dex. on lvl 21.
-Animate death: Skeleton warriors are the best.
-Prot. from evil 10'radius: when u cast Gate u don't want all your party members be squashed right?? :D
-Blade Barrier: see previous post :D
-Sunray: it really does massive dammage to undead.
-Summon Insects: really good vs mages they can't get to cast any spell... almost :D
and it does some nice dammage to.
-Gate: i think it is always nice to see such an overgrown puppy destroy all your enemys or towncriers or even whole towns :D :D

@ Riverwind does the magic resistans spell really lowers the MR from Dragons and such??
That really is great, but what MR do they get then 10% MR??

TheDude,

With the cleric spell magic resistanc you gain 2% MR for every level of the cleric.
So if a dragon has 60% MR and you cast MR on him with a level 15 cleric it actually lowers the dragons MR to 30%.
If you cast the mage spell lower resistance (once or twice) afther th clerics magic ressistance spell, the drangons MR is (almost)0%.
Sorcery and Shadow together as one, the arcane and the dark united. Through our knowledge and skill none can stand against us. We are as one, infallible and invincible. The Shadow Mages.

(Men! that really is a neat trick how come i didn't think of that :D )
