I did this before I ever went to spellhold.
my party consisted of me (a monk, so no use here), jaheira (no use also), jan, edwin (no use), viconia and i took korgan for this.
first the normal lich. I had Jan with boots of speed and he had the sword that does sunray (or something. you can aquire it in the city gates)
sunray did about 40 damage to the lich, then i did the ring of power and the bolt of glory (viconia). I then went outside. slept and did it over again.
do that about 3 times and hes dead.
then the demi lich appears.
All you need to ill him is:
1. Korgan, when enraged he cant be imprisoned.
2. rod of wonder (from the sewers).
3. ring of earth control (D'arnise keep)
4. rin of the ram
I did the following thing. had Korgan run towards the demi-lich and let Kangaxx cast imprisonment on him.
then use staff of wonders till he is petrified. (you will get the xp) then use ring of earth to make him to flesh again (he is near-death then).
Then use ring of power to finish him off.
**xp spoiler**
if you petrifie him, then make him back to flesh. and then petrifie him and so on, you will get 50k xp every time you petrifie him.
easy wat to kill kangaxx the lich

If that's the easy way, well...
I think the easiest way is to walk in as the slayer and trash him until he drops.
The only catch is, you must have been to Spellhold for this.
@fable: btw, what's so cheesy about the petrifying busines?

Well, its easy if you have the stuff.
And as far as a +4 weapon. i didnt have any.
I couldve used carsomyr, but that oulda meant i had to throw someone outta my party to take Keldorn. and why use the spell, if you can just beserk.
if you are afraid of beserk running out, just go out of the room , do beserk again and go back in.

The easist way is to have Korgan or Minsc Bezerker Rage, which renders them immune to imprisonment. The only problem is a +4 weapon. I used Keldorn, Imoen, and Aerie. Keldorn had Carsomyr, Imoen had Staff of the Magi, and Aerie had Mace of Distruption. I had both Imoen and Aerie cast Spell Immunity: Abjuration. Then I bought a Magic Resistance scroll from Ribalds secret stash and had Keldorn cast it on himself (the scroll is different from the mage spell of the same name. The spell grants 100 magic resistance, which imprisonment ignores, but the scroll grants IMMUNITY to magic ). Kangaxx went down easily.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Minsc's berserk does NOT make u immune against imprisonment.
only true fighter class berserk and true barbarian enrage render u immune to imprisonment.
so dont try it with minsc.
u ll be dissapointed just like i was )

BTW, barbarian's rage do not grant protection from imprisonment, at least it is not said in the description (while maze is mentioned for both). Another thing, i admit, there's still question how it is realized in the game. There are a lot of things named different and in face being exactly the same. So it might be the rage is only another name for berser. However i do not dare to build the game only on suspection.Originally posted by Mielikki:
