Recommended Modules

Post by Nightmare »

Can anyone recommend me some good modules for me? I finally got the game yesterday. I'd like to know your recommendations and opinions...

Also, the protraits really suck. I'm going to look for replacements, but does anyone know if there are the ones from Icewind Dale available in NWN format? IWD protraits are the best. :)

Also, are there any MODs allowing you to use more then one henchmen at once?

I mainly go with the officially sponsored stuff found here.

You can download all the Icewind Dale portraits here. ;)
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Try Shaderaven's Keep on the Borderlands. Also the Ravnloft mod is good.

More importantly -get on line at argyle. This game must be played on line in a persistent, hard core rules (HCR ) world like argyle. See you online soon after you get the feel for the game :)
Check out Mirrors Online a premier NWN2 roleplaying persistent world and D20 campaign world publishing project.

Thanks, to both of you. :) I plan to go online at Argyle within a few days (still getting used to the game).

One question, if I use custom protraits, will other people see them over the web? I would assume you wouldn't...but I love the IWD protraits. :)

Unless the person has the exact same picture file on their computer, your custom portrait won’t appear (and you’ll be question mark face guy to them).

Tell me about it. I only wish I could share my radioactive gibberling portrait with the world. Image

City of Knightsbridge is pretty good. The main thing I watch is to see what levels are permitted. Sometimes it's as more fun playing at lower levels. Also before you click <play> check out the other players who are already playing. See if they are about the class and level you want to be playing at.

*shrugs* I like 'em. I perfer them because they have more of an "art" or fantasy feel to them, unlike the current NWN ones (or even the BG ones, but the BG ones are actually nice protraits). I hate the NWN ones.

Crystal Tower 1+2. Great mod, interesting items, good balance. Same goes for the Ravenloft mod.
