A little question about quests.....

Post by aragornchewi »

Hello,

I was wondering if it's still possible to do quests like Trademeet, Firkraag and the Ulmar Hills after coming back from the Underdark??? I'm trying Imoen Romance Mod and I would like to have her when doing some of those quests....

Thanks.

...but adventuring in the Underdark at a relatively low level is not so easy.

What?

What Mods, you are going to have to face the Beholders or Ithillids in the retail game. And I'd say go do some quests before the Underdark first, the quests lose a lot of their fun when you breeze through them at high level. (One bad thing about soloing, the game gets too easy after a little while.)

I mean Improved Flayers and Beholders.... Sure it'll not be as challenging as going to make the quests before the Underdark but for the first time, I want Imoen to accomplish some other quests with me beside Killing Bodhi and rescuing the elven city (and killing Irenicus of course :) )

Cool

Oh, sorry, I should have read more carefully. :)

That's as good a reason as any, hope you have you have fun. Load up on potions and scrolls before you go. It'll make it a lot easier (it did for me) and probably less frustrating. :)

Spoilers:

Actually, the Illithid and Beholder Dungeons are optional. The Koa Toa dungeon is much easier to do. You can always come back in chapter 6.

So much wasted loot!

But then you won't get all the cool goodies hidden inside the Ithillid/Beholder lairs. There's so much of it. I never missed out on either of them. :)

I was saying that you don't have to complete it in Chapter 5 to finish chap.5. If you think you are low leveled for the job, then you can come back later in chapter 6 after you get some xp. :)

You can go back into the Underdark? I always wondered about that but never tried to go back in. :) Cool.

Also, you can go back to Athkatla when you're in Sudanessalar. I did that once because I forgot my stash of items in my stronghold. Although you have to go really far.

Sorry, but you cannot return to the Afterdark. Tried that once, but it's not allowed. All you can do is walk around the nearby area, without getting back underground.

I've always been able to go back to the underdark, and often do to clean up things I wasn't powerful enough to wipe out the first time through. I've even been back into the drow city to make an even bigger mess of the place too.

You've been able to get back in? How? -Or perhaps it was conditional, depending upon how you solved matters down in the Underdark. I killed just about everything that moved in the Drow's city, then returned the eggs to the silver dragon. After that, no matter how often I clicked on the portal to return, it was impossible.

If I'm going through with a fairly low level party I'll just do the very basics needed to complete that area. I've been through with an all evil party and killed everything that moved too. Same effect - could get back in at any time.
