The 3rd step is to talk to Travin a dude in the Copper Cornet whose unmarked on the area map but is at the north wall of the Copper Cornet at night. Ive tryed to find him three times but no luck. Any help??? I cant do the quest w/out talking to him.

Travin is located at the top of the map in the area of the Planar Sphere. At night go up to the sphere and go to the right a little ways, you should see him.

I think this quest is buggy after installing ToB, or maybe it was always buggy, judging from some OLD posts on here. I have found him before in SoA, but since installing ToB have been unable to find the guy. Anyone have any advice? I have looked near the northern exit of the slums, and near the planar sphere, have exited and reentered the slums multiple times, most frustrating. Not a really major quest, I know, but it worked before and now it's irritating me ;)

Well if you still can't find him (he looks like a thief waiting for someone), then try doing the next step. Go to Borinall. Borinall is located in the house with red bricks and red shingles on top of the copper coronet. He is the one who has the ring, you'll have to do a little fight here. But try to find Travin first, he is at the north of the district. Thoroughly search everywhere up there.

IIRC you will not find Borinall at home until you have been directed there by Travin. :)

He's actually not in the Copper Coronet, but in the Slums, near the northmost zone exit. You also might wanna have someone cast truesight, as I think he's hidden (as mentioned in the journal). He stands with his back to the CC, very close to the planar sphere entrance.

To Khanbhaal

Nice catch! Let's hope Therion will be able to find Travin now.

To Laurelei

I completed that quest with Travin and the ring with no problems (have Tob installed so Tob should not be the cause of the problem.) My only advice is to make sure that it is night time look before going to look for him.

I did finally manage to find him.

My game crashed (Probably was tired of me walking around the slums in circles :D ) and like magic when I re-booted and reloaded, he was there just standing around like a smarta$$.

I considered killing him just for being so difficult, but in the end I spared his miserable "now you see me, now you don't" life ;)
