Nixon doll in Vault City???? (Fallout2)

Post by oki101 »

Ok, so I am in Vault City.
Behind the bar in the outer city I found a "Nixon" doll.
If I remember correctly a friend of mine told me to give it to a crying little boy near the bar, but he`s not there. According to the text that`s normally above their heads there is somebody crying just down of the bar but there are no persons under or near this text.

What is wrong? Did they remove him in the patch or is there something else wrong.

European Version: Yes.

But then how am I supposed to get the wrench that Valerie needs??
Haven`t found in any other shops or in any random encounters on the road.

I'm afraid you'll have to wait, until someone who's played F2 recently gets around. :(

It has happened before, but you could think of it as a sign of the apocalypse Muahaha

It`s ok. We`ll just see later on.......

Thx for trying anyway :D

Edit: And this is the third time..... Better start preparing for the impending doom that will soon come.
Although I have posted like 6 or 7 in some taverns, so maybe it`s all a hoax.
Damn
My cover is blow already. :D :D

There is - was - a patch out that would make the kids appeare in the game again - dunno where you can find it - but it would be worth it.
otherwise there is at least 1 other quest you can't do (The lost boy in the little farming town with the hauted farm - can't remember names anymore :D )

Ohhh, yeah, I remember that quest with the lost children. How crappy, it doesn't work in the scandinavian version. :(

No - but using the patch will bring back children.
Remember there was a website called something like "No Mutants Allowed" - don't know the url but should be easy to find if it is still alive.
My bet is they would have more infomation and possible the patch.

(dunno why the kids got censured away - would think it was due to German or possible UK legislation - is certainly not due to Danish :D )

i think some budget european versions do have kids, but you can still find the odd wrench lying around for the valerie quest. the only quest that is un-doable is the one to find the boy from modoc (i think it was). i haven't tried the children patch, but i know it's out there.

It could easily be the germans. In Carmageddon, the germans used GREEN blood!

In some towns like broken hills there are general stores and useally they carry items of that nature but the wrench is really a weapon which is WITHOUT equal!!!. :D ......maybe. there is also a pair of tools (meaning both items because the game calls the pliers tools  ) for the quest in the vault 2nd lvl in the rooms there if not lie cheat, steal, kill for it or go to golgotha maaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyybe

One wrench can be found in Redding. - in the mining camp of Morningstar in one of the lockers.

It has been there all the times I have played the game :D

i think there's one on the bottom level of vault 15, maybe on the bandit leader, but it'll be a while before you would get there, so just keep looking in the meantime
