Max hit points at level up and highlight ground items

Post by bellock »

In Icewind dale there is a setting you can check, max hit points at level up. Is this setting available in Baldur's gate II? You can also highlight gound items by using the alt key in Icewind Dale. Is this feature available in Baldur's gate II?

If you have ToB you can highlight by pressing the tab key. I believe setting the difficulty to normal or lower means that you get maximum hps when levelling upp and you also never fail when scribing scrolls. However doing this will mean that most characters you play will end being identical.

Setting the difficulty level to Normal or lower will grant maximum possible HP at lvl up.

You can highlight various objects on the screen such as item caches and doors, by holding TAB.

To ensure maximum HP gain at level ups decrease the difficulty setting to "normal" before hitting the level up button. Then increase the difficulty setting again afterwards to whatever it was before.

Highlighting of containers, ground item and such is not available in SoA. But if you have ToB installed hit TAB and see how perceptive your character suddenly becomes!
