If you successfully "romance" (the "romances" in NWN fall so far short of BG2 romances that I hesitate to call them romances at all) either Aarin or Aribeth, they give you either an amulet or a ring in ch. 2. At the end of chapter 2, after I go through the gates to Luskan, my amulet/ring is gone. I scroll back through the messages and find "Lost Item: Aribeth's Ring" or whatever it is. Is this a bug or what? The journal entry says that I should keep the item if I want the romance to continue but if the game takes the item, how am I supposed to continue the romance? This has puzzled me for awhile and would appreciate a solution. (I've heard of dm-ing items in, will this work?)
What you got there fella, is a bug, I'm sure that you can DM that item in and it'll work, but I didn't experience it, there was a patch that was supposed to solve it...
I had the same problem with Aribeth´s ring : it´s a bug that has been fixed with the 1.21 patch. So if you have a savegame prior to Luskan, patch the game and enter the city again. Worked for me.
