I know they made the design decision in BG & BG2 to not allow you to equip rings/amulets of protection and magic armor at the same time, even though it was allowed in AD&D.
Does anyone know of a way (cheat) to allow this in BG?

Psst, There is no need at all for that. I thin that they made the rue bc there are so powerful items in BG, and they can be found so easily. in AD&D powerful magic items are very rare and it can therefore be allwed to use more. As for a cheat code, I haven't got a clue, you might be able to use SK or something like that....There might even be mods that allow it.Originally posted by Underdog77

Yes - edit the ITEMEXCL.2DA file and remove the rings/amulets from the list.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Nope - the file exists - you have to extract it first with Infinity Explorer and then edit it with a text editor (make sure to save it to the override directory) or you can edit it directly with Near Infinity (it will automatically save it to the override directory).
