You know how when you go to buy a spell from a store, it shows the opposition scool spells as being redded out (meaning your currently selected character can't use them)... Well, it would be nice if they redded out... or marked somehow... the scrolls that your currently selected character has already learnt.
One of the things that bug me is that I can't remember if I've learnt that spell or not and have exit the storekeep, check my scroll book and then talk to the storekeep again.
It would just make things a lot easier if already memorised spells could be marked somehow.
My 4.7 cents.

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Vehemence,

Open to Mage spells.
Apply to any suitable photocopier.
Make 'some' copies.
Cross out spells as you learn them.

Radek,
I even said 'some' copies. Got 6 mages make at least 6 copies and put their individual names on the individual spells known sheet.
It would be nice if this was implemented in game but it is not that hard to organize. - Curdis

Actually Radek, when you go to a store you can still click on the individual portraits. It's like most weapons will be redded out if your a mage, but when you click on your fighter, they appear normally.
I'm just suggesting that they could do something similar with the spells that your mage has already learnt.
I like your suggestion though Curdis. I've got my little spell sheet sitting on my desk next to me now and cross off the spells as I get them.
And since I'm soloing an elven Fighter/Mage/Thief, well, I only need the one for now

In my first game, I knew I wanted Nalia and Imoen as my endgame mages. But since they both have 17 int., they're both limited to 14 spells/level. After idiotically memorizing a bunch of crap for Nalia (and therefore wasting spell slots), I got way more methodical. I picked through the spell descriptions and figured out exactly what spells I wanted each of them to have and made a grid. Each time Nalia ran into a scroll she should memorize, I did so and checked it off the grid. I also had her carrying around two scroll cases to keep scrolls for Imoen in. Worked very well, and I was able to give Imoen nearly a complete spell arsenal as soon as we got to the asylum (not to mention some nice XP for all that memorization).
Well, that's my low-tech solution. But, all told, I think you're right. It would definitely be better if there were some way you could check your scrollbook without exiting the shop screen. Similarly, I'd like it better if you could sell equiped items. I think the designers made that impossible so people wouldn't accidentally sell their good stuff, but that could be solved with a little, "This is an equipped item. Are you sure you want to sell it?" prompt.
