One thing I think you need is some upfront fighters, or some very good archers, I assume your party's evil, so that leaves Shar-Teel and Kagain. Dispel magic's a must, watch the traps, they summon some unneeded baddies.

You can have your thief disarm the traps to avoid the extra baddies. Dispel Magic and Monster Summoning work wonders here. Use the Monsters to keep the pressure on Daeveron while you hammer him with ranged weapons. If you have Algernon's cloak, you can use it to "recruit" Daeveron's guard.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I did this while soloing a Bard:

Since I couldn't disarm the traps, I deliberately set them off one at a time then ran back to the entrance to fight the battle horrors separately from Daev.

After they were defeated, I was substantially weakened so I shot two or three blasts from the Wand of Monster summoning then hid down a corridor. When I saw the "unsummoned" messages, I figured Daev had probably lost some of his spell protections as well so I went back to fight him. Unfortunately, he still had a monster summoning of his own so I had to call up another batch of beasts to counterattack. After a few minutes of struggle, I beat him with about 10 HP left and no unused spells.

--Edit: I didn't think about charming the guard. That would have fit perfectly with my Bard persona and I even had Algernon's cloak to do it with. D'oh!

How did you defeat battle horrors with a bard?
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

With a good hit and run tactic (using a bow) and ALOT of patience.
(never tried it myself)

Mirror Image
Strength sets STR to 18/50
Draw upon Holy Might increases STR to 22 or 23 (forget which)
Ghost Armor + 19 DEX + Buckler + Amulet of Prot
sets AC around -4
Golden Girdle gives +4 against slashing weapons making AC effectively -8
Dagger of Venom does poison damage (I don't remember if the BHs where immune to poison but I don't think so).
Haste.

A blast or two of the Wand O' Monsters gave them something else to think about while I did little hit & fades. Even so, I lost a lot of hitpoints and there were piles of bodies laying around by the time I got to Davaeorn.

How I killed him was utterly ridiculous.

I used the tactic where you inch in slowly to only "wake up" a few monsters at a time, and did that to goo the Battle Horrors. In terms of the mage himself, well...

I summoned some wild dogs or something from the wand, and sent those in, with Imoen to hide behind them and shoot the guy. Well, he chunked all but one puppy, so I left the dog and Imoen ran away to prevent her own death. Strange thing is, the last dog didn't get killed.

You see, in my game, at least, the mage would teleport all over the place if he saw one of my group members. Well, the dog was in such a place that the mage would see it, warp away, warp back, warp away, etc. Eventually, his protection spells wore out, but he kept doing his laps, even after I moved Imoen in to pick him off. I just sat there and let him run around, shooting him every time he went by.

If you cast Dispel Magic on the Battle Horrors their Flame Swords will disappear leaving them with just fists. And For Daeveorn I just had my Cleric cast Animate Dead to occupy him while his protections wore off and he ran out of spells.

I have always supported the big sword fight's, so the first time I saw him, I attacked him straight on. Me, badass evil dwarf, badassed kagain aswell, viconia, shar-teel, edwin and safana!

Kagain, Shar-teel and my self charged him, so wee set of the traps...... so viconia summoned some skeletons, edwin cast dispell and safana drank a potion of invinsibillity.

My skeletons just stood, so daevoron teleported around. my three fighters easely killed the BH's, and since they didn't had their flame-swords, I only recieved about 10-15 HP damage, and thats diveded on my three fighters.

Daevoron him self wasn't much a problem, he kept teleporting around, and as he's protections stopped Safane were still invinsibil, so she backstapped him with the dagger of venom. And 5 seconds later, there were no Daevoron! he he he :D :D :D
