Which Quests?

Just a bit of advice please mateys!

Just started a new game and I want to get Imoen in my party as soon as possible, currently got Minsc, Jaheria, Amoen, Keldorn and Yoshimo.

Which quests should I do before shooting of to the asylum?
Need to be hard enough to get through it and the Underdark, some nice equipment would be good as well!

I've got a Kensai 9/ Mage 5 (just to be different!!)

Thought about the Staff of the Magi, bit maybe Imoen would be better with it since I'm more of a close combat nightmare! (or I will be)

First thing first which charachter are you playing?

Than do some of the first quests you've encountered...if you haven't visited Copper Coronet do that...and do some quest there...that you get there i mean.

I'm doing the slave quest at the mo, no way I'm going after Firkragg though! might give Nalia's quest a miss as well for the min.

Staff of the Magi? really nice thing that... but try to advance some levels first...maybe travel to Trademeet or so...get out in the wilderness.

Do you have the extra merchants? (if not download them...can be found att gamebanshees BG2 download site)

Personally i would like som more magic power but thats just my humble opinion. Yes i know that your'e a mage... and will be pretty powerful in the later stages of the game...

Depends on the items you want in your characters' inventory. For example, Nalia's stronghold provides some very nice ranged ammunition and the Flail of the Ages early in the game, while rescuing Haer'dalis from the Planar Prison yields the Gauntlets of Weapon Skill, Ajatha the Drinker (+2 longsword, immunity to charm) and Boots of Speed. I typically get these, and buy the Shield of Reflection +1.

Im just worried about being hard enough to get through the asylum and underdark, dont wanna get there and get my ass whopped! I might go once I reactivate the Kensai levels.

Well with your Kensai/Mage do Haer'dalis quest, really...
Abd the guarded compund for Celestial Fury...
And maybe, just maybe, Kangaxx for Ring of Gaxx...

Your having a laugh with Kangaxx!!!!!! Last time I played through I fought him before taking Irenicus and he took me ages then!!!!

Naah he ain't that though... all i can say i USE YOSHIMO...anf spell immunity...(*hoabjurationst*) (no one noticed that? (= )

try to do planar sphere too...gauntlets of ogre power...*mm*

Wanna do the sphere before the Nalia quest to get that as a stronghold! At least I assume I'll get it.
