Great Wurms in ToB!!!

Post by The_Pope »

Yee haw!!!
I missed yesterday's ToB chat, but I just read this on PlanetBG. Cool!!
Let's kick some wyrms' @$$es!

Remember Durlag's Tower, 3rd level? If these great wyrms have the same size as that thing, WHOA MOMMA!!
I doubt creatures that big will fit on the screen though, so they'll probably make it the same size as the BG2 dragons... I hope not!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I meant wyrms...

That dragon in Durlag's Tower was huge. Holy ****! It dwarfs Firkaag. What type of wyrm was that anyway? How the hell did Durlag beat the wyrm, if he couldn't even kill some doplegangers?

The scariest part is that one of the bio peeps hinted that there might be a few bhaal spawn dragons running around...great wyrm bhaal spawn, now that is just not good.

(If these things are as hard as they sound soloing with a melee char might not be that easy anymore).

In theory, that's impossible. See, great wyrms are 1200 years old. The Bhaalspawns are in their twenties...

He did kill the dopplegangers, but not before they killed his family. He went mad from having to kill dopplegangers that looked like them.

Bhaal Spawn Dragons yes, Great Wryms maybe, I say maybe because i have a therory, Ever since some mention about elves being still adolesecnt, My therory is that things that have the blood of bhaal mature faster to their most powerful stage, thus it wouldnt take as long for elves dragons etc..,just my $0.02
He is back and in 3-d!

Are you referring to me. I played through the tower twice. if durlag killed the great wyrm, he must be a really high level. The dopplegnagers turned into his family members after killing them. Durlag locked himself into the tower, and had about 2,000,000 placed in his tower. Then he died and the dopplegangers invaded, and somehow the demonknight ended up there.

Actually The_Pope (heh j/k), great wyrm bhaal spawn is possible since bhaal could have easily impregnated female dragons long ago after he was able to forsee his own death. (I'm assuming that he foresaw his death over 1,200 years ago :) , if he didn't well I'm wrong. Even then the dragons may not be old enough to be great wyrms but that doesn't mean they are not several hundred years old.
