+1 attack per round weapon...

Post by samcu »

Hi to all,

There is a weapon like a ...ninja-sword +1 or something, that adds one attack per round. I read that if you are a Kensai lvl 12, you get 3 attacks per round. And equipping that sword will give you 4 attacks per round.

Now my questions are simple...

(1) Is there other weapons that add to your attacks per round?

(2) If there are such weapons, can the off-hand add +1 attack per round?

(3) If with improved haste, on top of the + attack per round, what is the highest attack rate a character can have?

(4) If you guys see posts of similar sorts, can you not flame me, unless it is funny (ie non-discriminating).

Thankyou for reading this

The simitar +2 belm (I think) also give a extra attack.

(Now imagine the flames rising in this area since there is no animation in that departement avaible to put in here)

- Shadowdale low level adventure module.

- Rashmare /Thay high level adventure module.

1. The problem is more complicated. It depends on the weapon speed and on your speed bonuses. Weapons with "speed factor: 0" can add an extra attack even if the extra attack is not mentioned. Kundane +2 (short sword) increased attack number of my thief from 3 to 4. The sword was in the thief's off hand. On the other hand, your personal screen can state "attacks: 65" but with a 2H sword and without speed bonuses you will still attack once per round. I htink the number "65" reflects your maximum, not your actual number of attacks.
3. I've never seen more than "attacks: 7" with Improved Haste.

Thanks for the reply adventurers, but How do I get the Belm +2. Is it a half-quest item? As in you will run into it eventually?

Also, I have heard from a friend or I have read from a website, that Kensai/Mage 12/13+ can dual wield with Improved Haste for nine attacks per round.
For what weapon, I don't know. But I have heard the off-hand was a dancing sword or something??? It can apparently come out and fight independantly???

Belm is found in the Druid Grove, inside the Ogre tower in a hay stack.
There is a dancing sword, its long sword +2 Ras, in Trademeet (the merchent look like a noble, must solve the city problems before you can buy anything in trademeet) and it can fight like you said (all weapons that are dancing swords can fight like the "Mordekein sword" spell)

Thankyou!

I am still in Chapter 2. With work, study and everything coming this month, I have to say that I will just keep reading your opinions (and everyone else's) until I can personally put them into practice...

Have a nice day/evening where ever you are...

9 attacks per round? With dual-classed kensai? I suppose that is possible if you had 2 weapons that both had +1 attacks per round and Boots of Speed. But the +1 weapons aren't really that great beyond the +1 attack. I wouldn't be too concerned with number of attacks and work on THAC0.
